This place is unbelievable, three people attending on parts but only one attending customers, the other two apparently talking… by phone not saying a word. Meanwhile 5 people in line waiting for service.Unfortunately we only have this kw dealer in Calgary.If you can skip this dealer would be fantastic, try to buy in Edmonton, like Leduc AB more products on stock and beautiful customer service.There are 3 KW dealers in Edmonton, that’s why the service difference.read more

Great people to deal with in the office area. The place was clean and great driver waiting area. Unfortunately I wasn’t at the… dealership to make friends or watch TV or drink coffee. Not much got fixed on my truck. The mechanic that was on my truck mostly wanted to just do updates and charge for the time on a 6 week old truck. I was available for questions about the problems on the truck but the mechanic wouldn’t ask questions and just returned the truck without fixing even half the problems. Really I got a $350 chassis lube. Just too bad the 2023 T680 is a horrible truck I guess.read more

Had our truck in for some warranty work. They had to go in through the sleeper but with all the boot prints on the floor it’s… obvious they never took their boots off when in the sleeper. Also, asked for a copy of the work order so I know what issues were fixed. They said they didn’t have it available but would email it to me. Been waiting over a week now. I have always had good service from Great West Kenworth in Lethbridge so when I booked my truck in at Red Deer I had high hopes… for the same great service. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I called and made an appointment for some transmission issues I am having, I was told that they would have time to look a few days later. I showed up a few days later when my appointment was scheduled for and I waited around for over an hour only to be told that they wouldn’t have time to look at it and would need it over the weekend. I asked if they were willing to at the very least hook up to it with the computer and see if all it needed was a software update or a reflash and they refused said they didn’t have time. What is the point of making an appointment for me if you don’t have time?read more

I’m a “piggyback” driver that works exclusively for Paccar. I deliver brand new Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks across the US and… Canada. Recently, I had a delivery to Greatwest Kenworth in Red Deer. Ashley in service (hope I spelled that right) was my first point of contact. What an absolute sweetheart. Kind, courteous, funny, and really appreciative of open communication. She certainly set the stage for a flawless delivery. Next up is Chris, one of the lead techs in the shop. He checked me in, directed me where to go, and set up the rest of the delivery. From start, to finish, I was done in just over two hours. That’s a personal best. Chris went over and above, to ensure it was a smooth operation. If their behaviors toward me, a truck delivery driver, is any indication on how they do business, I’d highly recommend paying Greatwest Kenworth in Red Deer a visit for your Kenworth needs! my name is Tom. I am using my daughters google account to leave this review. A few days ago, I was hauling grain with my 2015 T… 800 with a ultra shift transmission. I drove onto the scale and jumped out to weigh. Got back in and the truck would not go into any gear, forward or reverse. it was stuck in Neutral. Trucks were lining up behind me, so I phoned kenworth in Clairmont for advice . Renelle and Ashly were extremely helpful and it seemed they were more worried then me about the line up that was forming behind me. They had four guys in the service trying to help me move the truck. We got the truck towed off the scale and they even arranged for Flynns towing to pick up my truck and get it to Kenworth. A big thankyou to Sheldon, the service manager, Rick, the general manager, Mike the Mechanic that diagnosed the broken wire on the accuator, and the other guy who was in on the telephone conversation to get me off the scale, Renelle, and Ashly. I had a 2016 T680 dropped off for an inspection prior to purchasing it. The dealership stored it in their secured lot for a week… until I was able to come to pick it up. Ashley was my service advisor and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable every time I spoke to her on the phone or in person. She sent me a summary of all the minor issues that would need to be fixed before the next CVIP and at no time pressured me into getting them to do the work.When the truck wouldn’t start, they offered to boost it. The batteries were original and the Les the foreman suggested replacing them as I probably would’ve needed new ones soon anyways. On short notice and with only 1 mechanic left late in the day they dropped what they were working on and helped me get on my way back to Edmonton.While waiting I chatted up Jonathon in the parts department about possible add ons for my new truck and even though knowing he knew I wasn’t purchasing anything that day he still took the time to suggest products and the comparisons/benefits of each.Renee, another service advisor was super pleasant when I came back before closing to pick up my truck. She took pictures of me backing out my new truck for the 1st time and texted them to me.Everyone at this dealership was a joy to deal with and if I am ever up that way for work, I wouldn’t take my truck anywhere else.Highly recommend this dealership whether you have a kenworth or another make!read more

Nice to have a second option for a shop… but they are painfully slow at completing the easiest tasks. I Changed my appointment… with them for their benefit as they were too busy and short staffed to help me on the original day. “Promised” I would be repaired first thing… And now it’s 3 hours later for a task I could have completed in 30 minutes with hand tools.(Warranty work though so not a choice)I’ll likely do my best to avoid this shop in the future. GW Kenworth in Calgary proper is a much better and more efficient shop.read more

Been using these guys for parts and service for 28 years at the south store. And now at the Balzac location. Always good, prompt… and accurate with all parts orders. Service is always what I ask for plus very good advice for maintaining my trucks with all these new mandatory government emission programs good advice is paramount to preventing very costly bills in the end. Without listening to their advice when they offer it my trucks would end up costing me a lot of money. Keep up the good work.read more

Had called Kenworth looking for a rad hose for a T-800 that was leaking. Truck was in Valleyview for the night and instead of… getting a call out they informed us that they had a TRP store in Fox Creek. We called them and they were more than knowledgeable about the needed hose and even went down at 10pm make sure it was actually in stock for us. We arranged the pickup for 7:30am the next morning (Saturday) with no issues. Super amazing to have a store like this in the Fox Creek area to fill the void between the larger centres.read more
